IMPHAL : Manipur Congress MLA Kh. Joykishan Singh has said that all the sixty MLAs of Manipur state should pledge to safeguard the territorial integrity.
While talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at Thangmeiband, the MLA said “A logical conclusion to the Naga political problem is welcomed by everyone. Still we should remain steadfast in our resolve to protect the state’s territorial integrity,”
The Opposition MLA indicated that the peace process between the Government of India and Naga outfit NSCN (IM) tends to threaten the state’s boundary.
“All MLAs now should take a pledge to safeguard our state’s boundary. In the process of ending the 70-year-old vexed Naga problem, the territorial boundary of Manipur should never be allowed to disrupt. We the legislators need to take a pledge in this regard henceforth,” Joykishan said.
