Mizoram Rural Development Department has bagged a prize and appreciation certificate in two schemes – Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM) and Housing loan (IAY/PMAY).
The Ministry of Rural Development has launched Grameen Sampark monthly publication under Jan MGNREGA mobile app, Grameen Internal Audit Portal (GRIP) and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at Vygyan Bhawan, New Delhi on Monday.
Prizes to different state with an outstanding work under central schemes such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Rural Housing (IAY/PMAY), Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Deen Dayal Upadhyadya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) were also presented during the event.
On behalf of Mizoram, Paul L. Khuma, Under Secretary & Nodal Officer (SPMRM & IAY/PMAY) received the prize and certificate from Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
In SPMRM, Mizoram bagged outstanding performance (North east states category) under Phase 1.
Mizoram also received ‘Gold Award’ in IAY/PMAY for ‘Impressive performance’.
Official sources said that Mizoram was among the top 12 states in outstanding performance of IAY/PMAY.
